A Short Visit from Nana and Gramps

Dan and Susan joined us in Macon for a short visit. It was fun to have them here, if only for a few days! Thanks for coming, Nana and Gramps!

The Sharks (Alex's Soccer Team)

Alex, our little goal-scoring machine.

Week 1 of Macon Soccer Club's Under-5 League
Alex's first-ever "real" soccer game!

Note: I realize that there are twice as many pictures of Alex's soccer than of Evan's. Will is the coach of Evan's team, so I spend most of my time watching Alex's game.

Springdale Fall Festival 2010

One of our elementary school fundraisers is a fall festival. Each classroom is responsible for staffing a booth (and as room mom, I was responsible for recruiting the Pizza Booth volunteers). The kids had a great time seeing friends, playing games, eating treats, and jumping on the inflatables.

Evan and his friend Kate.
They were in PreK together, but are now
in different kindergarten classes. We miss her!

Candy hoarding.
The kids played this candy-in-the-haystack game
so many times, you'd think we didn't feed them at home.
I returned most of it to the hay piles!

Scooterin'

(And yes, if you are tracking the date, it is our anniversary. Will had a reading group tonight, so the kids and I celebrated the milestone with pancakes at IHOP and driveway scooterin'!)

Grill It!

Our old grill was a housewarming gift from my folks and although it has been ready to retire for about two years, I couldn't part with it. Of course, poor Will was the one who had to start it and grill on a 3" square cooking surface.... (thanks, babe).

When Lowes added an additional 20% discount to the already "low prices" on their grills, we went for it. Happy Labor Day weekend, everyone. It's time to grill.

Now... how do we disappear the old grill?
I can't just leave it on the curb... can I?

Alex's first day of School - 4K

Alex started 4K today! He will attend 5 mornings per week, which was his schedule last year, as well. His class has only 9 students, so he should get lots of attention! We are looking forward to a great year!

Evan took this pic!
