12 Dancing Princesses

We enrolled Evan in a theater production course through the Academy of the Performing Arts in Macon. After 7 rehearsals and 2 dress rehearsals, the show hit the stage! Evan was one of 5 boys in a cast 0f 30, and the 2nd to youngest performer. The play, based on the fairy tale Twelve Dancing Princesses, was about 45 minutes long and full of fun. Evan played Dalmar, Advisor to the King. He had some great lines that won hearty laughs from the audiences. He did a nice little job with his British accent, quirky body language, projection, and all 24 lines! :) We were super proud of him!

On his way into the theater for the first show of the weekend.
Hear ye, Hear ye, Dalmar has arrived!

Go Bears!

Mercer's last home basketball game was also Faculty Appreciation Day at the University Center. Will and I scored new t-shirts, free food, and 6 tickets. It was a GREAT game vs. Lipscomb (we won), but we left at half-time to get Evan ready for his show.

Yard T-Ball

In preparation for Evan's first-ever Tball Practice, the boys played ball in the yard a few times. Here are pics from playing w/ Daddy earlier in the week, and playing with Nana & Gramps this weekend!

Evan's Tball team is the Colorado Rockies. Nana and Gramps brought Rockies gear for the whole family! We will be the best-dressed fans out there! :) Thanks, Dan and Susan/Nana and Gramps!!

Will's Reading Group

Earlier in the day, Will's faculty/student reading group met with Dr. Jeremy Bailey (an invited guest lecturer from the University of Houston).

Meanwhile, Nana and Gramps arrived from CO. Alex was excited to read for them right away!

Evan's Kindergarten Valentine Show

The Kindergartners performed an adorable little show during the PTC meeting on Tuesday night. Here are some pics:

Will and I returned the this morning to get some videos of the show, which was performed again for the 1st and 2nd graders. Below is a video of mostly Evan, followed by a video of the whole Kindergarten (about 100 kids).

I'm Gonna Mail Myself to You!
(My favorite part is when Evan wraps his head):

And the whole group performing a catchy little song!

Can I Get A Ride?

As most of you know, we are up to our eyeballs in a bathroom remodel. On our 149th trip to Lowe's (only a slight exaggeration), Alex finally found something fun to do:
