On Feb 12 2010, it snowed in Macon! School was canceled for the kids, and Mercer closed its doors at 2:00 pm. We had a great time playing in our yard and at the home of our friends, the Stewarts. (We played in their backyard in "sleds" made from diaper boxes! You see, my Northern friends, there is no place to buy sleds down here!)
Our snowman lasted several days longer than the rest of the snow in the yard. It was a real treat to see a snowman out our windows!
