The time had come. Alex's golden locks were getting too long. (Will thought the time had come about 3 months ago, but I was a hold-out.) I saved all the curls. Our little Baby Alex isn't a baby anymore. I'm getting choked up just writing about it.
Evan's first haircut (at Supercuts) was terrible. Rather than repeating that stress for Mommy and now Alex, we decided to cut Alex's hair ourselves. gulp.
Other news Chez Jordan is that Evan no longer uses a pacifier ("B") when he sleeps. (I didn't write sooner, else I jinx the transition.) The evening of Sept 2 , Evan couldn't find his B when he went to bed. Will and I searched without success. Instead, we celebrated the event:
Hooray! It is September! Big Boys don't need B's in September!
Next month is October and you'll be 3!
In the morning, if you sleep without your B, we will drive to Michael's to get a NEW ENGINE! (He wanted Gordon)
Evan joined in the celebration, wanting to mow the lawn with Daddy the next day, too!
Gordon is happy to be part of our train collection and the lawn looks great.
If Evan starts pooping in the potty, we'll get the engine Henry, too. At this rate, Henry might be retired first. (If Evan asks you, Captain Hook's crocodile ate the B. We will never get it back.)
