Center for the Teaching of America's Western Foundations

The opening event for the Center (of which Will is the co-director) was a speech last night by Ronna Burger, PhD in Philosophy from Tulane. Her talk was on Aristotle and titled, "What is the Best Human Life?" It was a huge success, with over 250 students and faculty (including Mercer's President) in attendance. The goal of the Center is to promote the study and teaching of the great books and ideas of Western civilization. This is a very promising start. Mercer's main website has a press release / link to the year's events.

If you are a millionaire/billionaire (or know one), and are interested in funding such a center, please let us know! Just imagine... The [your name here] Center For the Teaching of America's Western Foundations.
