Alex had his 1-year check-up this morning and everything seems to be going well. Nurse Patty asked questions about his eating, language and motor skills, and then observed him for a bit. He weighs 22 lbs 10 oz (under 50th percentile) and measures 30-1/2" (75-90th percentile range). His head measures in at a whopping 19" (97th percentile) -- only 5" less than his Daddy's noggin now! To end the visit, Alex received 3 shots and Evan received a sticker. Poor Alex.
Other news: Alex has 4 teeth on the bottom, with three more coming on top! The poor little guy keeps pounding his fists against his top lip. Evan's teeth were late to appear, and arrived one at a time. Alex, on the other hand, tends to get at least two at a time.
We are to continue using the Zantac twice a day for Alex's reflux. I was hoping to phase him off this medicine, but all indications are that it is still necessary.
