Pink Ice Cream in the Park

Mom & Dad arrived last night for their first-ever visit during Macon's Cherry Blossom Festival! The trees are just beginning to pop, so their timing is perfect! (Macon claims the name "cherry blossom capitol of the world," touting over 300,000 trees in town. We suspect this might be a slight exaggeration, although don't tell that to the festival organizers!)

We took Alex out of preschool about 15 minutes early today so that the four of us (mom, dad, me, Alex) could go downtown for free cherry ice cream in the park. It was perfect weather and we had a great time. We even saw the "famous" pink poodles. Poor Evan didn't get out of school until 3:15. Ah, the troubles with growing up and going to "big boy school!"
