We cheered the Bears through to the Atlantic Sun Finals that were held on Saturday night, March 6th in Macon at the Mercer University Center. The final game v. East Tennessee State (ETSU) was televised on ESPN2 and sadly, Mercer lost. It was exciting to know that family in IA, CO and visiting in HI all saw us on tv, though... itty-bitty in the corner of their respective TV screens!
About one week prior to the finals, the boys' favorite player received an eye injury. The boys made get-well-soon cards for him (see below). According to Daniel, his eye felt better as soon as he read the cards. :)
It was a fun season, Bears! Great job! Plus, thanks to you, Alex has been shooting baskets at all hours of the day and night... and he sleeps with a basketball now, too.
He was totally exhausted from his morning soccer game!)
