The Zoo was a zoo

Reluctantly, we took mom to the airport this morning. We had such a great week with my folks here, it was especially difficult to say goodbye. This was the longest time they've stayed with us other than after the boys were born. It was wonderful.

After saying our goodbyes, the boys and I went to the zoo... which was... a zoo. I've never seen so many people there. It was bumper to bumper school buses by 9:30 am. We didn't stay long, spending most of our time with the pandas and on the playground. Following the zoo, we ate lunch at Evan's "favorite place in the whole world for lunch!" Ikea. He loves the meatballs and mac&cheese!

When the kids return to school on Monday after spring break concludes, I really hope Evan doesn't tell everyone that he spent his vacation at Ikea....
