My friend Jean and I are teaching the 1st and 2nd graders during VBS this week. We have a HUGE class -- 17 kids! -- but everyone has been fabulous. This is a wonderful, smart, funny, group of kids. I'm pleased to have been included in this rewarding week! (The theme is God's Big Backyard and thus the fancy tree in our room!)
Evan and Alex are loving every minute of their time at VBS, too. I'm loving that they take long afternoon naps!
Tomorrow night will be the closing performance. Evan's class will sing a few songs to open the evening. I'm bringing Kleenex. It will be his first show and I'm going to be an emotional wreck. I can't wait to see his little smile up on stage. Wasn't he just learning to walk?
